BP Logo Redesign for Greenpeace
Here are a couple submissions I threw together for Greenpeace’s BP logo redesign contest.
About the project:
“A few years ago, BP rebranded themselves as ‘beyond petroleum’. And yet BP is pursuing ‘unconventional oil’ – the Canadian tar sands and deepwater drilling, despite the massive environmental damage that’s being caused by their business.
That’s why we want you to rebrand them. Your brief is to create a logo for BP which shows that the company is not ‘beyond petroleum’ – they’re up to their necks in tar sands and deepwater drilling.”

The MMS Gallery
I often take shots with my phones camera I wish I could do something with. A lot of them end up on facebook, sure, but generally I assume anything artistic is lost on the majority of my audience. Lets face it, people won’t see what they aren’t looking for. Well, enter The MMS Gallery, a collective of like minds in seeing (at least these) camera phone photos as art… Submitting is easy. Entering your photos now adds them to the online gallery and once the submission period has ended 236 will be selected for the first gallery show where they’ll be printed on 5×7 postcards. Kudos to Kenny, Hillary, and O3 World for doing this.

Ride The Tiger
This is my submission for Sedso Design’s latest collective show featuring stencil art. I chose to pay homage to Ronnie James Dio, who lost his battle with cancer last month. The guy was as innovative as they come and even in his sixtys, still put on a better show than just about anyone. Major chops. You Sir, will be missed.
The gallery opened Friday, June 4. A second opening happens Friday, July 2, 7:00pm – Midnight. There was some really cool stuff on display, I urge you to check it out. Pieces are on sale while they last. Modestly priced originals are hard to come by…
Check out some coverage of the event at Phrequency.

New Billboards Up
My Update Your Status mall poster campaign went over well with the folks at Camden County College so they were on board to do some outdoor with it too. I’m happy to see this concept adapted to more applications than usual from a client who tends to want to run something from every concept presented. It’s definitely a welcomed change.
When I started working on this account photographs generally were not used (a post covering the evolution of their branding coming soon) and because of state funding we’re shyed away from showing faces as to exclude any of the college’s multi-racial demographic. I was happy to find an exception to the rule…
